Installing Sealing Ring On Right Halfshaft Flange

Information 

• Check that the sealing ring is seated correctly on the tool. 
• The sealing ring is fitted dry. Do not touch the sealing lip! 

1. Fit new sealing ring on > 9790 - pressure piece. 
2. Drive sealing ring into the transmission using pressure piece -1-  and hold the tool at the end position for one minute and press again carefully if necessary.

3. Fit new circlip -3-  on the halfshaft flange -1-  .
   1. 3.1 Clamp the halfshaft flange -1-  in a vice using a screw -2-  .
   2. 3.2 Press out the old circlip using the new circlip -3-  .

4. Install halfshaft flange -1-  .
   1. 4.1 Check halfshaft flange -1-  for burrs and sharp edges on the transmission end of the shaft -arrow-  and deburr if necessary.
   2. 4.2 Insert halfshaft flange -1-  into the transmission and tap it in using a rubber hammer.
