Removing Tie Rod

IMPORTANT:

Make sure that no dirt gets into the power-steering gear and bellows when removing and installing the tie rod.

Loosen tie rod -2- at the octagon -1- . and unscrew it from the rack-and-pinion. Use > V.A.G 1923 - Open end spanner insert, a/f 38 to do this.
