Removing tie-wrap on steering column
CAUTION: Sharp edges on the steering column.- Risk of cuts or gashes to the hands.
→ Wear safety gloves.

- Unscrew nuts -2-
. for the steering column -1-
. on the mounting bracket from below.

Important - possibility of mix-ups!
Never unscrew and remove the side screw -1- .
Do not unscrew and remove screw on steering column
- Counter at the nut -3-
and unscrew and remove screw -2-
.
Unscrewing screw
- Place a clean cloth between the trim panel under the dashboard and the steering column
- Carefully pull out the steering column in a downward direction.
- Disconnect combination connector and electric plug connection for steering column.

Release combination connector -1-
. at the mounting bracket holder and disconnect it.

The electric plug connection -3- must not be disconnected as other lines are still connected.

- 6.2 Release and disconnect electric plug connection -2- (-arrow a- ).
- 6.3 Release the combination connector -4- under the dashboard at the mounting bracket -arrow b- and disconnect it.

- Pull steering column -1-
out of the intermediate steering shaft -2-

) and remove it.
