Installing Front Wheel Bearing Housing

Information
Following installation, seal the threaded joint securing lower trailing arm to wheel bearing housing and tie rod to wheel bearing housing with wax as shown in -Illustration- , Use Pfinder AP14/4 for this (see PIWIS Parts Information - PET).
Applying wax on marked area
- Insert spring strut -1-
into the wheel bearing housing as far as it will go -arrow from left-

Spring strut lock
- Installation is performed in reverse order.
Observe specified tightening torques:
Threaded joint for damper pipe clamp: > Tightening torque 85 Nm (63 ftlb.)
Upper spring strut to body: > Tightening torque 33 Nm (24.3 ftlb.)
Lower trailing arm to wheel bearing housing: > Tightening torque 85 Nm (63 ftlb.)
Tie-rod ball to wheel bearing housing: > Tightening torque 85 Nm (63 ftlb.)
Connecting link to anti-roll bar: > Initial tightening 40 Nm (30 ftlb.) > Final tightening + 30°
