Assessment Of The Wheel Suspension Of A Vehicle Involved In An Accident
The wheel suspension may have to be replaced in the following situations:
Visible or perceptible damage to the wheel suspension (non-specific bumps or depressions, sharp fracture/crack edges).
Leaks on the bellows (e.g. from the lower trailing arm ball joint or drive shaft) as a result of the accident, which can be seen as grease or oil leaks.
Steering wheel out of line while driving straight ahead.
Unknown noises or vibrations while driving.
Permanently visible deformation, damage or fractures on:

| 3 | Trailing arm, diagonal arm and tie rod (including axial joint) |
| 4 | Front-axle carrier (including anti-roll bar and connecting links) |
| 5 | Drive shaft (on all-wheel drive vehicles) |
| 6 | Steering gear (including fastening points) |
| 7 | Spring strut |
| 8 | Screw-on points on body side |
If damage is found on components listed above, they must be replaced.
The number of components to be replaced depends on the overview of parts provided above and the sequence (e.g. if component no. 4. - front-axle carrier - is faulty, parts 1 to 3 must also be replaced).
