WARNING:
Vehicle can fall down
- Risk of squashing or crushing
- Risk of damage to the vehicle
- → Do not place any solid objects under the raised vehicle.
- → Ensure that the lifting platform is prevented from lowering.
- → Remove solid objects before lowering the vehicle.
- → Raise the vehicle only at the jacking points provided.
- → The outer jacking points should be used primarily.
CAUTION:
Hot components
- Risk of burns
- → Wear personal protective gear.
- Start the engine and let it heat up (warm to touch).
- Remove rear wall cover.
- Remove pressure pipe.

- Only for 2.5-liter engines:
Loosen vibration damper -1-

- 4.1 Only loosen screws.
Vibration damper, 2.5-liter engine
- Relieve the drive belt.
- Only for 2.5-liter engine: Unscrew screws on the vibration damper and remove vibration damper.
- Install vibration damper -1-
for the 2.0-liter engine (see Porsche Spare Parts Information) with the "old" screws and tighten screws -2-
hand-tight.
This secures each TDC position of the crankshaft for checking.

- Remove spark plugs.
