Overview of crankcase (view of crankcase half, cylinders 1-2)

  1. Restrictor
  2. Through bolt, M10 x 195 - only use once
  3. Cross bolt connection, M6
  4. Dowel sleeve
  5. Oil windage tray
  6. Screw, M6 x 20> Tightening torque 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.)  Cover, KoBo Mo Bo M6 x 10
  7. Screw, M8 x 35
  8. Torx screw, M8 x 35

not shown  Screw plug for piston pin assembly bore (M30 x 1.5) > Tightening torque 80 Nm (59 ftlb.)

Tightening sequence for crankcase

  1. 1-10 Torx screw, M10 x 195 (tighten to torque angle in 2 steps) - only use once > Initial tightening 5 Nm (3.5 ftlb.)  > Initial tightening 15 Nm (11 ftlb.)  > Initial tightening 50 Nm (37 ftlb.)  > Loosen 0 Nm (0 ftlb.)  > Initial tightening 5 Nm (3.5 ftlb.)  > Tightening torque 15 Nm (11 ftlb.)  > Torque angle 75°  > Torque angle 75° 
  2. 11-12 Screw, M8 x 35> Initial tightening 3 Nm (2 ftlb.)  > Torque angle 70 Grad 
  3. Screw, M8 x 35 > Tightening torque 33 Nm (24 ftlb.) 
  4. 14-24 Torx screw, M6 x 40> Tightening torque 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.) 
  5. Torx screw, M8 x 120> Tightening torque 33 Nm (24 ftlb.)
