Remove the engine.

Remove transmission.
> 343519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING TRANSMISSION .

> 373427 REMOVING AND MOUNTING PORSCHE DOPPELKUPPLUNG (PDK)

Mount engine on the > VAS 6095A - Engine and Gearbox Support .
> 1001IN TOOLS FOR REMOVING/INSTALLING UNITS AND WORKING ON ASSEMBLY SUPPORT .
Drain engine oil.
> 170117 DRAINING AND FILLING ENGINE OIL .
Only for cylinder bank 1-2 : Loosen holder -1- for catalytic converter on the cylinder head, bank 1-2.
1. 5.1 Unscrew screws -2 to 4- .

Holder for catalytic converter on cylinder head
Only for cylinder bank 1-2 : Loosen holder -1- on cylinder bank 3-4.

Holder for cross tube on cylinder bank 3-4
Only for cylinder bank 1-2 : Remove catalytic converter complete with cross tube.

1. 7.1 Open the clamp and remove catalytic converter complete with cross tube.
Only for cylinder bank 1-2: Remove heat shield on catalytic converter.
