Installing Cylinder Head Cover (Bank 3-4)

Install cylinder head cover with seal.
Carefully guide the cylinder head cover past the fuel line!
Fit screws on the cylinder head cover evenly and tighten according to the tightening sequence -steps 1 to 11- .
> Tightening torque 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.)

Tightening sequence for cylinder head cover, cylinder 3-4
Install vacuum pump.
> 477619 REMOVING AND INSTALLING VACUUM PUMP .
Install fuel line on low-pressure side.
1. 4.1 Tighten screws.
Install vacuum line (vacuum pump).
1. 5.1 Connect vacuum line to the vacuum pump.
2. 5.2 Tighten screws.
  > Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)
Install ignition coils and tighten screws.
> 282020 REMOVING AND INSTALLING IGNITION COILS .

> Tightening torque 11 Nm (8 ftlb.)
Install fuel collection pipe.
> 243020 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FUEL COLLECTION PIPE .
Fit and secure cable plugs on the fuel injectors and clip in wiring harness.
Route wiring harness and connect cable plugs.
Secure ground cable to the cylinder head cover with a screw.
> Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)
Secure holder for exhaust temperature sensor connector with a screw.
> Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)
Install vent line for turbocharger oil supply with new O-rings.
1. 12.1 Grease O-rings with Kluber Syntheso Glep.
2. 12.2 Tighten screws.
  > Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)
Install engine carrier bracket.
> 103019 REMOVING AND INSTALLING ENGINE CARRIER (BRACKET) .
1. 13.1 Fit and tighten screws.
  Screw, M8 x 125: > Tightening torque 33 Nm (24 ftlb.)
  
  Screw, M8 x 110: > Tightening torque 33 Nm (24 ftlb.)
  
  Screw, M8 x 45: > Tightening torque 33 Nm (24 ftlb.)
  
  Screw, M8 x 35: > Tightening torque 33 Nm (24 ftlb.)
Install heat shield for vacuum pump.
1. 14.1 Tighten screws.
  > Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)
