Installing Spark Plugs

Information
- Be careful of the electrodes when fitting the spark plugs.
- Due to the angled spark plug slot, the electrodes can hit against the shoulder in the cylinder head and become bent during fitting.
- Turn electrode to the 12 o'clock position when fitting the spark plug.
- Carefully fit and screw in spark plug using socket adapter and extension.
- Position spark plug -1
- using spark plug socket adapter. The electrode must be at about the 12 o'clock position -arrow

- Screw in spark plugs using > VAS 6919 - Spark Plug Socket-Wrench Insert, a/f 14-2
- and > VAS 6925 - Extension, 3/8"-1
- and tighten according to specifications.
New spark plug - 2.0 l engine: > Tightening torque 23 Nm (17 ftlb.) +/- 3 Nm (2.2 ftlb.)
New spark plug - 2.5 l engine: > Tightening torque 23 Nm (17 ftlb.) +/- 3 Nm (2.2 ftlb.)
For re-installation: > Tightening torque 21 Nm (15.5 ftlb.) +/- 3 Nm (2.2 ftlb.)
