Installing Fuel Tank

WARNING: Highly inflammable or explosive materials

Danger of fire or explosion
- → Avoid contact with hot parts or sources of ignition.
- → Use suction to remove ignitable vapours.
- → Attach warning sign in a clearly visible position.
- → Contain leaked media using non-flammable absorbent material and put it in a container designed for this purpose for disposal in accordance with local requirements.
- → Secure collection containers/vessels to prevent them from tipping over.

WARNING: Caustic fluids

Danger of chemical burns
- → Wear personal protective gear.
- → Ensure that there is good ventilation.
- → Avoid contact with caustic fluid.
- → If you do come into contact, wash off immediately with plenty of warm water and contact a doctor if necessary.

Information

The help of another person is required for removing and installing the fuel tank.

Install fuel tank.

1. 1.1 Position the fuel tank with the help of another person.
2. 1.2 Engage the two clips -2 - in the body.
3. 1.3 Fit fastening screws -1 - for the fuel tank and tighten to > Tightening torque 23 Nm (17 ftlb.) .
Install front right coolant pipe.

1. 2.1 Secure spring clamps -arrows "A"- .
2. 2.2 Position front right coolant pipe.
3. 2.3 Connect front right coolant pipe to the connection pieces -arrows "B"- until the spring clamps lock securely.
Secure front right coolant pipe.

1. 3.1 Clip in fastening parts on the front right coolant pipe -arrows- .
2. 3.2 Fit fastening screw -1 - and tighten to > Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.) .
Install front left coolant pipe.

1. 4.1 Secure spring clamps -arrows "A"- .
2. 4.2 Position front left coolant pipe.
3. 4.3 Connect front left coolant pipe to the connection pieces -arrows "B"- until the spring clamps lock securely.
Secure front left coolant pipe.

1. 5.1 Clip in fastening parts for front left coolant pipe -arrows "A"- .
2. 5.2 Clip in vent line on the front left coolant pipe -arrows "B"- .
3. 5.3 Fit fastening screw -1 - and tighten to > Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.) .
Clip in lines at the top of the fuel tank -1 -.

Secure the fuel line and vent line.

1. 7.1 Connect vent line -arrow "A"- until it locks securely.
2. 7.2 Connect fuel line -arrow "A"- .
3. 7.3 Engage lock for the fuel line -arrow "B"- .
Connect electric plug connections on the fuel tank -arrows - until the locks engage securely.

Secure the filler neck.

9.1 Guide in and position filler neck in the body aperture.

9.2 Press filler neck onto the fuel tank flange -arrow "A"- , position the clamp and secure the filler neck with the clamp -arrows "B"- .

9.3 Fit fastening screws -1 - for the filler neck and tighten to > Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.) .

Install battery console.

10.1 Connect electric plug connections -1 and 2- under the battery console -arrows "A"- until the locks engage securely.

10.2 Position battery console.
10.3 Fit fastening screws -2 - for the battery console -1 - and tighten to > Tightening torque 23 Nm (17 ftlb.) .

Clip in housing for compressor on the battery console.
