Removing Both Rear Silencers

Information 

• Pre-treat corroded components with anti-rust agent or heat. 

Information 

• Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle or a similar component. 
• Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well. 

1. Screw off lock nuts -1  - on the two-hole flange.

   Only for vehicles with exhaust flaps: 

2. Pull off vacuum hose -3  - for exhaust flap.
   1. 2.1 Loosen clip -4  -.
   2. 2.2 Pull the vacuum hose -3  - off the control box -5  -.

3. Loosen screws -1  - at the clamps -2  -.

   Information 

   • The help of another person is required for removing and installing the silencer. 
4. Remove both rear silencers.
