Installing Oil Pan (Upper Part)

NOTIFICATION
Dirt and contamination
- Risk of damage to units or components
- → Protect components from dirt and contamination.
- → Clean or replace dirty components.
- Install upper part of oil pan.
- 1.1 Check the condition of the moulded seal and replace it if necessary.
- 1.2 Position upper part of oil pan.
- 1.3 Screw in and tighten screws -1 to 19-
.
Observe specified tightening sequence!

Tightening sequence for securing upper part of oil pan to crankcase
1 - 18 Screw, M6 x 25 > Tightening torque 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.)
19 Screw, M6 x 16 > Tightening torque 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.)
- Install oil line.
- 2.1 Replace O-rings.
- 2.2 Fit oil line -2- .
- 2.3 Screw in and tighten screws -1-
.
> Tightening torque 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.)
Oil line
- Install connector housing for oil pressure control valve.
- 3.1 Replace O-rings.
- 3.2 Push connector housing through upper part of oil pan.
- 3.3 Plug in cable plug -2- .
- 3.4 Clip in spring clamp with heat protection -1- .

- Install coolant pipe.
- 4.1 Replace O-rings.
- 4.2 Fit coolant pipe -1- .
- 4.3 Screw in and tighten screws -2-
.
> Tightening torque 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.)
- 4.4 Screw in and tighten screw -3-
.
> Tightening torque 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.)
Coolant pipe on coolant pump
- Fit heat shield -2-
and screw in and tighten screws -1-
.
> Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)
