Installing Oil Pump

- Replace fastening screw for oil pump sprocket.
Information
Replace O-rings and seals.
- Wipe off any traces of oil on the sealing faces with a clean, lint-free cloth.
- Install oil pump with new seals.
- 2.1 Fit screws M6 x 30 and M6 x 80.
- 2.2 Slide the oil pump gear and timing chain onto the driver and secure with a new internal Torx screw (M8 x 22).
- 2.3 Check that the two bores are positioned horizontally in order to insert the special tool.
- 2.4 Fit and tighten screws for oil pump evenly.
Screws, M6 x 30: > Tightening torque 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.)
Screw, M6 x 80: > Tightening torque 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.)
- Install oil pipe.
- 3.1 Fit oil pipe with a new O-ring and secure with screws.
> Tightening torque 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.)
- 3.1 Fit oil pipe with a new O-ring and secure with screws.
- Insert special tool > 9791 - retaining device

- 4.1 Tighten internal Torx screw (M8 x 22) using socket-wrench insert (T45).
Step 1: > Initial tightening 5 Nm (3.5 ftlb.)
Step 2: > Initial tightening 17 Nm (13 ftlb.)
Step 3: > Torque angle 90°
- 4.1 Tighten internal Torx screw (M8 x 22) using socket-wrench insert (T45).
- Remove special tool.
