Installing Transmission-Oil Pump

- Prepare transmission flange -1-
for installing transmission-oil pump.
Information
If dirt gets into the inner workings of the transmission, it can damage the transmission.
- 1.1 Place suitable aids, e.g. clean cloths or paper towels, inside the opening of the transmission flange -1- to protect the inner workings of the transmission from soiling and chips.
- 1.2 Check the transmission flange -1- for sharp edges and burrs and remove them using suitable aids if necessary.
- 1.3 Carefully clean the transmission flange -1- using suitable cleaning agents.
- 1.4 Carefully remove all aids you placed underneath to protect the inner workings of the transmission from soiling and chips.
- Insert transmission-oil pump -4-
with a new sealing ring
and suitable lubricant evenly into the transmission flange at the correct position.
If necessary, carefully tap the transmission-oil pump -4- in as far as it will go using a suitable tool, e.g. a rubber hammer.
- Tighten fastening screws -6- to > Tightening torque 24 Nm (17.7 ftlb.) +/- 1 Nm (0.7 ftlb.).
- Connect transmission oil line -3- to the transmission-oil pump -4- and clip it into the holder -5- if necessary.
- Fit lock -2- for transmission oil line -3- and engage all locking lugs on the transmission-oil pump -4- .
- Connect electric plug connection -1- until the lock engages securely.
