Removing Transmission

DANGER
Vehicle can fall down
- Risk of squashing or crushing
- Risk of damage to the vehicle
- forward Do not place any solid objects under the raised vehicle.
- forward Ensure that the lifting platform is prevented from lowering.
- forward Remove solid objects before lowering the vehicle.
- forward Raise the vehicle only at the jacking points provided.
- forward The outer jacking points should be used primarily.
- Release electric plug connection -1-
on the crankshaft hall sender -2-
and disconnect it.
- Release and disconnect electric plug connection -1-
.
- Disconnect vacuum line -5-
from the control valve.
- Clamp both coolant hoses -2- using > 3094 - hose clamp.
- Loosen spring band clamps -3- on the coolant hoses -2- .
- Disconnect both coolant hoses -2-
from the transmission oil cooler and close off openings.
- Unscrew fastening screws -1-
and remove transverse strut -2-
.
NOTIFICATION
Transmission jack positioned incorrectly.
- Damage to transmission and cooling fins.
- forward Use the entire sealing surface of the transmission.
- Damage to transmission and cooling fins.
- Position the transmission jack -3- under the transmission -2- .
- Use a restraining strap -4-
to secure the transmission -2-
on the transmission jack -3-
.
- Position unit elevating platform -2-
with a suitable support -1-
under the engine.
NOTIFICATION
Mechanical overload of components
- Component will be damaged irreparably
- forward Observe guidelines for assembly and disassembly
- Component will be damaged irreparably
- Remove transmission.
- 11.1 Loosen and unscrew fastening screws in the following sequence: -1 and 2-
, then -3 and 6-
, and finally -4 and 5-
.
Information
Check that the guide sleeves between the transmission flange and engine flange remain in the engine flange.
- 11.2 Gradually guide the transmission out towards the rear and downwards by lowering the transmission jack.
- 11.1 Loosen and unscrew fastening screws in the following sequence: -1 and 2-
, then -3 and 6-
, and finally -4 and 5-
