Installing Drive Shaft

  1. Replace shaft sealing ring in the final drive

    > Refer to the appropriate Service Information for Removing and installing sealing ring for output flange

  2. Replace circlip -1-  on the drive shaft.

    Information 

    • Make sure not to damage the sealing ring when guiding the drive shaft into the final drive. 
    • Check that the profile splines on the drive shaft and transmission side interlock securely! 
    • The use of an impact tool is not permitted. 
  3. Fit drive shaft -1-  into the final drive with a quick jerking movement -arrow-  .

  4. Check that the joint is seated correctly in the final drive.
    1. 4.1 Hold the joint with both hands and pull outwards.
    2. 4.2 If the drive shaft can only be pulled out again using considerable force, the drive shaft is fitted correctly.
    3. 4.3 Press the drive shaft back into the final drive if necessary.
