Preliminary Work

  1. Remove the engine.

    > 100119 REMOVING AND INSTALLING ENGINE 

  2. Secure engine on assembly support.

    > 1001IN Securing engine on assembly support (V8 biturbo) 

  3. Drain engine oil.

    > 170117 DRAINING AND FILLING IN ENGINE OIL

  4. Remove belt tensioner (air-conditioning compressor).

    > 137319 Removing and installing belt tensioner (air-conditioning compressor) 

  5. Remove guide tube for oil dipstick -1-  .
    1. 5.1 Unscrew and remove screw -2-  .
    2. 5.2 Pull guide tube for oil dipstick -1-  up -arrow-  and remove it.

  6. Remove oil pressure control valve.

    > 172619 Removing and installing oil pressure control valve 

  7. Remove crankshaft vibration damper.

    > 137519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING CRANKSHAFT VIBRATION DAMPER (V8 BITURBO)

  8. Remove crankshaft sealing ring.

    > 137419 REMOVING AND INSTALLING CRANKSHAFT SEALING RING
