Removing Lower Chain Housing Cover (V6 Turbo)

Unscrew screw on coolant line holder -2- .

Lower chain housing cover
Unscrew upper screws chain housing cover lower -1- on both cylinder banks.

Upper screws on lower chain housing cover
Remove lower chain housing cover -3- .
1. 3.1 Unscrew the screws of the chain housing cover at the bottom -1- .
2. 3.2 Screw one screw into each of the threaded bores -Arrows- by hand.
3. 3.3 Tighten the screws carefully and evenly to release the chain housing cover from the bonding at the bottom -3- .
4. 3.4 Remove the chain housing cover at the bottom -3- .
5. 3.5 Unscrew the screws used for loosening from the lower chain housing cover -3- .

Lower chain housing cover
Clean sealing faces.
Remove and replace crankshaft sealing ring.
