Adjusting Rear Spoiler

Information 

  1. Check gap dimensions.

    > WM, 5X00IN GAP DIMENSION

    > Gap dimension 3.5 mm +/- 0.7 mm 

    > Gap dimension 3.5 mm + 1.5 mm - 0.5 mm 

    > Gap dimension - 2.5 mm +/- 1.5 mm 

    > Gap dimension 1 mm +/- 1 mm 

    > Gap dimension > -10 mm 

    > Gap dimension 1 mm +/- 1 mm 

    > Gap dimension > -10 mm 

    > Gap dimension 3 mm + 1 mm 

    > Gap dimension 0 mm +/- 0.5 mm 

    > Gap dimension 0 mm + 0.5 mm - 0.8 mm 

    On Panamera Turbo (97A):  > Gap dimension 3 mm + 1.4 mm 

    On Panamera Turbo (97A):  > Gap dimension 0 mm +/- 0.5 mm 

  2. Loosen screws -4-  and nuts -5-  until the rear spoiler can still be moved.

  3. Loosen screws -1-  until the rear spoiler can still be moved.

  4. Adjust the gap dimensions by moving the rear spoiler.

    > Gap dimension 3.5 mm +/- 0.7 mm 

    > Gap dimension 3.5 mm + 1.5 mm - 0.5 mm 

    > Gap dimension - 2.5 mm +/- 1.5 mm 

    > Gap dimension 1 mm +/- 1 mm 

    > Gap dimension > -10 mm 

    > Gap dimension 1 mm +/- 1 mm 

    > Gap dimension > -10 mm 

    > Gap dimension 3 mm + 1 mm 

    > Gap dimension 0 mm +/- 0.5 mm 

    > Gap dimension 0 mm + 0.5 mm - 0.8 mm 

    On Panamera Turbo (97A):  > Gap dimension 3 mm + 1.4 mm 

    On Panamera Turbo (97A):  > Gap dimension 0 mm +/- 0.5 mm 

  5. Screw in and tighten screws in the rear spoiler bracket > Tightening torque 8 Nm (5.9 ftlb.) 
  6. Screw in and tighten nuts on the rear spoiler > Tightening torque 8 Nm (5.9 ftlb.) 
  7. Screw in and tighten screws in the rear spoiler > Tightening torque 8 Nm (5.9 ftlb.) 
  8. Adjust lower part of rear spoiler in Z direction.

Upper part of rear spoiler

  1. 8.1 Loosen screws -1-  and tighten again hand-tight until the lower part of rear spoiler can still be moved.
  2. 8.2 Position rear spoiler trim and set gap dimensions by moving lower part of rear spoiler.

    > Gap dimension 3.5 mm +/- 0.7 mm 

    > Gap dimension 3.5 mm + 1.5 mm - 0.5 mm 

    > Gap dimension - 2.5 mm +/- 1.5 mm 

    > Gap dimension 1 mm +/- 1 mm 

    > Gap dimension > -10 mm 

    > Gap dimension 1 mm +/- 1 mm 

    > Gap dimension > -10 mm 

    > Gap dimension 3 mm + 1 mm 

    > Gap dimension 0 mm +/- 0.5 mm 

    > Gap dimension 0 mm + 0.5 mm - 0.8 mm 

  3. 8.3 Remove rear spoiler trim and tighten screws to > Tightening torque 5.6 Nm (4.1 ftlb.)  .
