Removing Catalytic Converter

Unscrew oxygen sensors downstream of catalytic converter -1 and 2- .

Oxygen sensor downstream of catalytic converter
Remove V-band clamp -2- .
1. 2.1 Loosen screw -1- and loosen and remove V-band clamp -2- from the flange.

Loosen and remove ball clamps -2- .

Ball clamps

Remove catalytic converter.

4.1 Unscrew and remove screw -1- .
4.2 Only for catalytic converter on cylinder bank 2: Remove catalytic converter holder -3- .
1. 4.2.1 Unscrew screws -2- and remove holder -3- .

4.3 Carefully guide out catalytic converter -4- at the relevant side.

Make sure not to damage the heat shields.
