Instructions for carrying out general repairs on vehicles with auxiliary heating

- Perform on-board diagnosis of the auxiliary heating system using the vehicle diagnostic tester .
- If parts of the fuel system were removed or replaced, make sure that all components for extracting fuel for the auxiliary heating system are installed properly .
- To avoid confusing the coolant hoses, mark them before removal .
Following repair work near the fuel line for the auxiliary heating system, check the following points:
- Check that the fuel lines are routed flush with the underbody and are protected from mechanical damage .
- Check that the fuel line for the auxiliary heating system is protected against high temperatures that could cause malfunctions .
- Check that the fuel line is not touching any hot components .
