Left Turbocharger: Installation

- Install the turbocharger coolant pipe.
  Torque: 9 Nm
- Install a new gasket.
  Renew Part: Turbocharger coolant pipes to turbocharger gasket Quantity: 1 .
- Install the turbocharger.
  Torque: 26 Nm
- Install new nuts.
  Renew Part: Exhaust manifold to turbocharger nuts Quantity: 3 .
- Install a new gasket.
  Renew Part: Turbocharger to exhaust manifold gasket Quantity: 1 .
Install the exhaust manifold heatshield.
- Connect the turbocharger coolant pipes.
  Renew Part: Turbocharger coolant pipe Quantity: 1 .
  
  Torque: 10 Nm
CAUTION: Apply Loctite 243 to the bolts.

NOTE: Make sure to clean the threads prior to installation.
- Install the turbocharger retaining bracket.
- Install the 4 bolts.
  Torque: 32 Nm
- Connect the electrical connector to the turbocharger.
- Connect the Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKP) electrical connector.
- Install a new turbocharger oil feed pipe bolt.
  Renew Part: Turbocharger oil feed pipe banjo bolt Quantity: 1 .
  
  Torque: 30 Nm
- Install new washers.
  Renew Part: Turbocharger oil feed pipe banjo bolt washers Quantity: 1 .
Install the turbocharger heatshield.
Torque: 9 Nm
CAUTION: Make sure that the area around the component is clean and free of foreign material.
- Install the turbocharger oil return pipe.
  Torque: 9 Nm
- Install new gaskets.
  Renew Part: Turbocharger oil return pipe gasket(s) Quantity: 2 .
Install the air intake pipe.
Torque: 10 Nm
Install the left Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve.
Refer to: LEFT EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION VALVE .
Install the exhaust.
Refer to: EXHAUST SYSTEM - VEHICLES WITH: DIESEL EXHAUST FLUID .
Install the engine undershield.
Refer to: ENGINE UNDERSHIELD .
Fill the engine with oil.
Refer to: ENGINE OIL DRAINING AND FILLING .
