Subsequent Work

  1. Install brake disc.

    → 465319 REMOVING AND INSTALLING REAR BRAKE DISC .

    Information 

    • New parking-brake shoes and new brake discs must be grinded down. 
    • Grinding down applies only to grey cast-iron brakes with one-piece brake discs. 
    • There is no need to grind down grey cast-iron brakes on 911 Turbo (991) and 911 GT3 (991) vehicles because compound brake discs with aluminum brake disc hubs are installed. 
    • PCCB brake discs/parking-brake shoes do not need to be grinded down. 
    • It is not necessary to grind down the parking-brake shoes if the parking-brake shoes are not replaced  . Set the brake shoes to the basic setting if necessary and calibrate the brakes → 468316 ADJUSTING AND CALIBRATING PARKING-BRAKE SHOES .
  2. Adjust and calibrate the parking-brake shoes. → 468316 ADJUSTING AND CALIBRATING PARKING-BRAKE SHOES .

    Grind down the parking-brake shoes during adjustment and calibration if necessary.

  3. Fit wheel.
