- Align the sealing surface and connections of the body.
- De-burr connection points and prepare them for welding.
Information:
- Before final assembly, make sure you fully understand all the work steps involved and carry out a trial assembly without applying adhesive .
- The bonding process can only be carried out reliably when a smooth and swift sequence of operations is guaranteed .
- Do not begin bonding work until all materials and tools necessary for later repair work are available .
- Prepare the marked areas for welding. Refer to WM 5X00IN WORKING WITH BODY STRUCTURAL ADHESIVE 000.043.206.30 , WM 5X00IN WORKING WITH BODY STRUCTURAL ADHESIVE PAH.071.781.00 .
- Fit in new front side member (section) and secure it.
- 4.1. Take measurement -X- from the new part and mark it on the longitudinal member.
- 4.2. Cut the longitudinal member -arrows- .
- 4.3. Area -A- indicates the overlap area from the longitudinal member to the section of the longitudinal member.
