Installing Spring Strut Mount

Information: 

• Before final assembly, make sure you fully understand all the work steps involved and carry out a trial assembly without applying adhesive  .
• The bonding process can only be carried out reliably when a smooth and swift sequence of operations is guaranteed  .
• Do not begin bonding work until all materials and tools necessary for later repair work are available  .

1. Install spring strut mount and check that it fits perfectly. Check gap dimensions. Refer to WM 6X00IN GAP DIMENSIONS (EXCEPT MACAN SPORT EDITION) .
   1. 1.1. Apply adhesive to the areas marked in yellow. Refer to WM 5X00IN WORKING WITH BODY STRUCTURAL ADHESIVE 000.043.206.30 , WM 5X00IN WORKING WITH BODY STRUCTURAL ADHESIVE PAH.071.781.00 . . Application depth: 3.0 mm

2. Resistance spot-weld the spring strut mount.
   1. 2.1. Plug-weld area -A-  using inert gas.

3. Apply a full weld to the area -arrows-  using inert gas.

4. Plug-weld area -A-  using inert gas.

5. Install lower part of plenum panel.
   1. 5.1. Plug-weld the lower part of the plenum panel using inert gas.
   2. 5.2. Resistance spot-weld area -A-  .

6. Install reinforcements.
   1. 6.1. Apply adhesive to the area marked in yellow.

7. Resistance spot-weld the reinforcement.
   1. 7.1. Apply a full weld to area -A & B-  using inert gas.
   2. 7.2. Spot-weld area -C-  using inert gas.

8. Install wing bracket.
   1. 8.1. Resistance spot-weld the wing bracket in area -A-  .
   2. 8.2. Apply a full weld to areas -arrows-  using inert gas.
