Fuel distributor for direct fuel injection (DFI)

- Fuel injector/replace O-rings; replace combustion chamber sealing ring
- Check that it is installed at the correct position
- Support ring/replace
- Fuel collection pipe → Tightening torque: 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.)
- Roller tappet
- Pressure regulator for fuel pressure
- High-pressure pump
- With pressure regulator for fuel pressure
- Make sure that no dirt gets into the fuel system during installation
- Protect the high-pressure pump from impact of any kind
- The fuel system must be depressurised for installation
- Do not strain fuel lines during installation
- Screws/replace → Tightening torque: 20 Nm (15 ftlb.)
- Adapter for fuel supply line/replace → Tightening torque: 40 Nm (30 ftlb.)
- Union nut → Tightening torque: 20 Nm (15 ftlb.)
- Union nut → Tightening torque: 20 Nm (15 ftlb.)
- Adapter/replace → Tightening torque: 40 Nm (30 ftlb.)
- Screws → Tightening torque: 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.)
- Channel separator plates
- Seal/replace if damaged
- Adjustment of intake manifold flaps
- Vacuum unit for intake manifold flaps
- Intake manifold flap valve
- Temperature sensor → Tightening torque: 5 Nm (3.5 ftlb.)
- Throttle housing → Tightening torque: 7 Nm (5 ftlb.)
- This must be adapted to suit the engine control unit again following removal and installation or replacement
- Screw → Tightening torque: 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.)
- Intake manifold pressure sensor
- This must be adapted to suit the engine control unit again following removal and installation or replacement
- Intake-air distributor
- Fuel pressure sensor/coat thread and cone with clean engine oil → Tightening torque: 27 Nm (20 ftlb.)
