Preliminary Work

If a new control unit has to be installed, the values/coding must be read out using > 9818 - PIWIS Tester II prior to removing the "old" DME control unit.

Lift up cowl panel cover.

Remove rubber beading in front of the cross panel.
Unscrew the two fastening screws on the cross panel section at the right and lift up the cross panel section.
