Removing Hinge For Convertible-Top Compartment Lid

CAUTION: Incorrect handling of hydraulic system

Risk of damage to hydraulic system
Malfunction in hydraulic system

→ Do not bend, trap or crush hydraulic lines.

→ Protect hydraulic system from contamination.

Fold convertible-top compartment trim in slightly.
Guide wiring harness for convertible-top compartment lid out through the hinge.
Loosen safety clips -1- .

Disengage hydraulic cylinder -2- and set it down on the convertible-top compartment.
Determine installation position of the hinge.

1. 5.1. Mark the contour -1- of the hinge using a suitable tool.
2. 5.2. Determine the adjustment height of the hinge -2- using a steel rule and write it down.
Unscrew fastening nuts -1- and fastening screw -2- and remove the hinge.
