Filling The Hydraulic System

Information
- When filling the hydraulic system, proceed with utmost care to ensure that dirt does not get into the system.
- Before unscrewing the screw plug, place a cloth underneath the hydraulic unit to catch emerging hydraulic oil.
- The hydraulic convertible top uses a closed hydraulic system. In general, the hydraulic system will need to be filled only if the hydraulic circuit was opened (after parts replacement). Only Original Porsche hydraulic oil → OIL must be used when changing or topping up the hydraulic oil.
Information
When screwing in the screw plug, check that the seal is touching the screw head.
- Disconnect hydraulic pump.
- Fill the hydraulic pump.
- 2.1. Tilt the hydraulic oil tank. The oil filler screw must be above the fluid level.
- 2.2. Unscrew screw plug -1- .
- 2.3. Fill the hydraulic oil tank -2- with Original Porsche hydraulic oil -3- .
- 2.4. Screw in screw plug -1- and tighten to the specified tightening torque. → Tightening torque: 1 Nm (0.5 ftlb.) 3. Check hydraulic oil level.
- Ventilate hydraulic oil tank.
