Removing Front Door Panel

Information 

• Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle  .
• Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well  .

1. Pull door opener and unclip the cover on the door opener -1-  using a plastic wedge.

2. Unscrew and remove fastening screws -2 and 3 -  from the door panel.

3. Unclip door panel at the bottom and swivel it out of the sealing channel at the top.

4. Release and disconnect electric plug connection on wiring harness for door.

5. Disconnect electric plug connection from door control unit.

   1. 5.1. Release electric plug connection from the door control unit -a-  .
   2. 5.2. Swivel securing clip -4-  forward by 90° -A-  and disconnect electric plug connection from the door control unit -B-  .
6. Disconnect electric plug connection from the mid-range loudspeaker.

7. Disengage cable for door opener.

   1. 7.1. Spread locking lugs outwards -A-  .
   2. 7.2. Remove cable from the guide by pulling it to the rear -B-  .
   3. 7.3. Swivel cable forward -C-  until the driver at the front is free.
   4. 7.4. Remove driver from door opener.
8. Remove door panel.
