Removing Transmission-Oil Pump

- Remove transmission-oil pump -1-
.
- 1.1. Unscrew three M8 hexagon-head bolts (M8 x 25 at the top -2- , M8 x 30 at the bottom -3- ) on the oil pump.
- Disconnect the oil pump -1-
at the transmission flange.
- 2.1. Position an aluminum mandrel -2-
on the projecting part of the oil pump flange from below and loosen it by tapping it gently.
Use a plastic hammer!
- 2.2. Loosen the projecting part of the flange on the opposite side using a mounting lever -2- .
- 2.1. Position an aluminum mandrel -2-
on the projecting part of the oil pump flange from below and loosen it by tapping it gently.
- Tap a solid plastic or wooden wedge -2- into the gap in the flange -arrows- . This loosens the oil pump -1- without tilting it.
- Replace two sealing rings on the transmission-oil pump.
- Remove residual sealant from the two hexagon-head bolts at the top and from the related threaded bores on the flange. Then clean the thread.IMPORTANT: The threaded bores at the top are through-bores. Close them off at the back when cleaning them.
Information
- Make sure that no filings/chips get into the transmission housing when deburring the surface.
- Check the transmission flange -1-
for sharp edges and burrs.
- 6.1. Remove sharp edges or burrs using a polishing cloth -2- if necessary.
- 6.2. Clean the flange carefully.
