Installing Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK)

- Coat shaft teeth on the PDK with Longtime 3EP .
- Together with 2WD: Fit transmission with a spacer plate and mount it on the engine by turning the output shaft.
- Together with all-wheel drive: Fit transmission and mount it on the engine by turning the output shaft.
- Screw in new fastening screws for securing transmission to engine. Initial tightening 38 Nm (28 ftlb.) Torque angle 90°
- Screw in fastening screws on transmission support. Tightening torque 65 Nm (48 ftlb.)
- Slide fastening part for the locking cable into the support on the transmission in direction of travel.
- Press locking cable onto ball joint on transmission.
- Together with all-wheel drive: Replace circlip -1- on input flange on all-wheel final drive.
- Together with all-wheel drive: Thinly coat the inner teeth at the end of the connecting shaft with Anti Seize .
- Together with all-wheel drive: Fit the impact puller 9799 using 4 screws -1- to the groove in the connecting shaft.
- Together with all-wheel drive: Attach connecting shaft on all-wheel final drive and fit using the impact puller 9799 until the ring → Fitting tool on the transmission is visible.
- Remove impact puller 9799 .
- Once you have fitted the connecting shaft, check by hand that it is locked correctly.
- Replace sealing rings at the ends of the ATF line.
- Screw in fastening screws securing ATF line to transmission.
- Secure connector on the transmission by turning it 1/4 turn to the right.
- Fit heat protection on the transmission.
