Checking ATF

Information
Aligning vehicle for checking oil:
- Align the vehicle horizontally on a measuring platform
- Secure the vehicle to prevent it from rolling away
- Raise the vehicle on a measuring platform in order to check the oil/make adjustments.
- Together with air suspension/levelling system: Set the vehicle to "Normal Level" and switch off the levelling system. → 4X00IN LIFTING THE VEHICLE
- Start the engine.
- Press the brake pedal
- Shift the gear lever slowly through P-R-N-D three times
- Read out the ATF temperature using PIWIS Tester II 9818
until it has reached the test temperature. Temperature 40°C +5°C
Menu structure:
- 4.1. Select PDK (Porsche Doppelkupplung) control unit
- 4.2. Submenu: Actual values/input signals
- 4.3. Submenu: CAN output signals for transmission sump temperature
- Move selector lever to position P .
- Switch off engine and wait for about 2 minutes.WARNING: Hot fluid
- Danger of scalding
→ Let the fluid cool down.
→ Wear personal protective gear.
- Open the oil inspection plug. -arrow-
- The oil level is correct if the oil reaches the lower edge of the inspection window. If this is not the case, fill with oil. → 370235 CHECKING AND TOPPING UP ATF
- Screw in a new oil inspection plug. Tightening torque 35 Nm (26 ftlb.)
