Removing rear wheel bearing
Information
- The wheel bearing has a magnetised multipole seal, which acts as a pulse sender for the wheel speed sensor .
- The multiple-pole seal -1- must always face upwards when the wheel bearing is set down (this does not apply when pressing the wheel hub into the wheel bearing). Do not damage the multipole seal and do not come into contact with magnetic objects (e.g. magnetised screwdriver, magnet)

Wheel bearing unit
- Clamp the wheel bearing housing in a vice with aluminum protective jaws.
- Unscrew fastening screws -1-
and remove wheel bearing unit -2-.

- Press wheel hub out of the wheel bearing.
- Press tool

- Pressure piece T10230/8 from assembly tool T10230

Pressing wheel hub out of wheel bearing
- 3.1. Fit special tools as shown in → Pressing wheel hub out of wheel bearing .
- 3.2. Press wheel hub out of the wheel bearing.
- Press inner bearing ring off the wheel hub.
