Loosening Main Wire Harness In Luggage Compartment At The Right
- Risk of damage to lines
→ The main wire harness contains all airbag lines, antenna lines and optical waveguides.
→ The main wire harness must not be separated and is always replaced as a complete wire harness when carrying out extensive repairs.
→ If individual lines are damaged, shut off these lines and install new lines. Lay the new lines along the main wire harness and secure them to the main wire harness.

Always comply with the regulations for handling ESD-sensitive components!
- Always wear approved work clothes and shoes when carrying out assembly work .
- Do not remove new parts from ESD (electrostatic discharge) protective packaging until shortly before installation .
- Do not touch electric pins and plug contacts .
- Release and disconnect electric plug connection -1- on DC/DC converter. → 270419 REMOVING AND INSTALLING DC/DC CONVERTER
- Pull vent hose -2-
out of grommet.

- Loosening fuse box -1- in luggage compartment at the right. → 978409 LOOSENING AND SECURING FUSE BOX - SECTION ON "LOOSENING"
- Screw off fastening nut -2-
and remove ground line from ground point.
Disconnecting relay carrier and ground line
- Release and disconnect electric plug connections on the trailer hitch control unit. → 669619 REMOVING AND INSTALLING TRAILER HITCH CONTROL UNIT
- Release and disconnect electric plug connection on the electric parking brake control unit. → 466219 REMOVING AND INSTALLING CONTROL UNIT FOR ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE
- Release and disconnect electric plug connections on the ParkAssist control unit. → 917419 REMOVING AND INSTALLING CONTROL UNIT FOR PARKASSIST
- Release electric plug connections -1- , disconnect them and unclip them from the holder -2- .
- Unclip antenna connector -3- from its holder and release and disconnect it.
Disconnecting electric plug connections
- Release and disconnect electric plug connection on the rear right seat-belt pretensioner. → WM 692519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING REAR SEAT-BELT BUCKLE (EXCEPT MACAN SPORT EDITION)
- Release and disconnect electric plug connection on the right head airbag unit. → 696619 REMOVING AND INSTALLING HEAD AIRBAG UNIT
- Release and disconnect antenna line -1- on the radio receiver for auxiliary heating -2- .
- Release and disconnect electric plug connection -1-
on the radio receiver for auxiliary heating.

- Release and disconnect antenna line -1-
on the right antenna amplifier -2-

- Release and disconnect electric plug connection -1-
on the rear right roof pillar and loosen it from holder -2-

Vehicles with air suspension
- Release and disconnect electric plug connection -1-
on the rear right spring strut.
All vehicles
- Press grommet -2-
into the passenger compartment.
Disconnect electric plug connection for rear right shock absorber
- Release and disconnect electric plug connection -1- on the parking brake actuator.
- Release and disconnect electric plug connection -2-
on the brake pad wear contact.

- Release and disconnect electric plug connection on the rear right speed sensor. → 451555 REPLACING REAR SPEED SENSOR
- Release and disconnect electric plug connection on the rear right level sensor, if fitted. → 431955 REPLACING REAR LEVEL SENSOR
- Unclip main wire harness - sub-part for rear right wheel housing - from all holders and carefully guide it into the luggage compartment.
- Unclip main wire harness in luggage compartment at the right from all holders.
