Removing dashboard
NOTE:
- The number of fastening screws, fixing clips, plug connections, holders and trim panels can vary depending on equipment .
- The illustrations for removing and installing the drive mechanism are shown only on one equipment variant and may differ from the actual equipment variant .
- Some steps must be carried out automatically .
- Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle .
- Cover centre console with protective mat.
- Unscrew fastening screws -1, 2- .
- Unscrew fastening screw -3- .
- Release and disconnect electric plug connections -4, 5- on temperature sensors.
- Remove side air guides.
Side air guides
- Unscrew fastening screws -1- for passenger's airbag.
- Unscrew fastening screw -2- securing holder to bracket.
- Unscrew side fastening screws -3-
securing bracket to dashboard.
Passenger's airbag, side mounting
- Unscrew fastening screw -3- .
- Unscrew fastening screws -2- .
- Unscrew fastening screws -1-
.
Front mounting
- Pull dashboard forward and lift it up slightly.
- Guide all electric lines -1-
through the dashboard.
Electric lines
- Release and disconnect electric plug connections -1-
for loudspeakers.
- 14.1.NOTE: Remove the loudspeakers when replacing the dashboard

- Unclip electric line -2-
at the dashboard.
The help of another person is needed for Step 16 .
