Removing dashboard

NOTE:
  • The number of fastening screws, fixing clips, plug connections, holders and trim panels can vary depending on equipment  .
  • The illustrations for removing and installing the drive mechanism are shown only on one equipment variant and may differ from the actual equipment variant  .
  • Some steps must be carried out automatically  .
  • Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle  .
  1. Cover centre console with protective mat.
  2. Unscrew fastening screws -1, 2-  .
  3. Unscrew fastening screw -3-  .
  4. Release and disconnect electric plug connections -4, 5-  on temperature sensors.
  5. Remove side air guides.

  6. Unscrew fastening screws -1-  for passenger's airbag.
  7. Unscrew fastening screw -2-  securing holder to bracket.
  8. Unscrew side fastening screws -3-  securing bracket to dashboard.

  9. Unscrew fastening screw -3-  .
  10. Unscrew fastening screws -2-  .
  11. Unscrew fastening screws -1-  .

    Front mounting 

  12. Pull dashboard forward and lift it up slightly.
  13. Guide all electric lines -1-  through the dashboard.

    Electric lines 

  14. Release and disconnect electric plug connections -1-  for loudspeakers.
    1. 14.1.
      NOTE: Remove the loudspeakers when replacing the dashboard
  15. Unclip electric line -2-  at the dashboard.

    The help of another person is needed for Step 16  .

  16. Remove dashboard.
