Description And Operation: Operation: Notes

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2018 Land Rover Range Rover and 2017 Land Rover Range Rover. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

For the auxiliary climate control system to operate, the vehicle must be in one of the drive modes with the main climate control system active. Automatic mode must be selected on the Rear Integrated Control Panel (RICP) or the Rear climate  menu of the Touch Screen (TS). The Automatic Temperature Control Module (ATCM) then illuminates the Light Emitting Diodes (LED) in the RICP AUTO switch, energizes the auxiliary climate control isolation valve. The ATCM also operates the auxiliary blower and the auxiliary temperature blend and distribution motors to maintain the temperatures selected on the RICP.

Once the auxiliary climate control system is operating, the auxiliary blower, distribution and temperature can be adjusted as required on the RICP or the Rear climate  menu of the TS. More than one distribution setting at a time may be selected to achieve the required air distribution.

The auxiliary climate control system can be selected off on the RICP, using the AUTO switch, or on the Rear climate  menu of the TS. The Rear climate  menu can also be used to lock the RICP to prevent operation of the auxiliary climate control system from the rear seats.
