Removing Upper Concave Washer

WARNING: Grinding and welding work
  • Danger of fire or explosion

→ Avoid working in an area with highly inflammable or explosive materials.

→ Cover highly inflammable or explosive areas.

→ Remove highly inflammable or explosive parts.

  1. Cover the fuel tank with fire-proof covers.

    Information 

    The markings are absolutely essential for positioning the new concave washer

    • Engrave markings with a scriber using sufficient force. 
    • When sanding down the connection area, make sure not to sand off the markings. 
  2. Apply markings.
    1. 2.1. Mark the installation position of the old concave washer using a scriber.

  3. Drill off spotwelds -2-  on the concave washer -1-  .

  4. Remove concave washer.
  5. Prepare contact surfaces for installing the concave washer.

    1. 5.1. Sand off adhesive residue.
    2. 5.2. Clean contact surface with acetone.
