Removing Engine Mount

WARNING: Danger of objects or loads falling down
  • Risk of squashing or crushing

→ Secure components to prevent them from falling down.

NOTE:
  • This work can only be performed when the engine has been suspended on the body. 
NOTE:
  • The engine mounts must be replaced only in pairs. 
  • If an engine mount is defective, the heat shield must also be replaced. 
NOTE:

The procedure for removing and installing is described for one side as an example. The procedure for the other side is practically identical.

  1. Pre-tension the engine with the support bracket.
  2. Expose electric wire harness.
    1. 2.1. Disconnect electric plug connection -arrow-  and move it aside.

  3. Expose engine mount.
    1. 3.1. Unscrew fastening screws -4-  .
    2. 3.2. Unscrew fastening screws -1-  .
    3. 3.3. Move retainer plate -3-  aside.
    4. 3.4. Unscrew fastening screw -2-  .

  4. Raise the engine at the spindle -1-  by about 20 mm.

  5. Remove engine mount with retainer plate.
