Installing Engine Mount

WARNING: Danger of objects or loads falling down
  • Risk of squashing or crushing

→ Secure components to prevent them from falling down.

NOTE:
  • This work can only be performed when the engine has been suspended on the body. 
NOTE:
  • The engine mounts must be replaced only in pairs. 
  • If an engine mount is defective, the heat shield must also be replaced. 
NOTE:

The procedure for removing and installing is described for one side as an example. The procedure for the other side is practically identical.

  1. Position engine mount with holder.
  2. Lower the engine on the spindle by approx. 20 mm again.

  3. Secure engine mount.
    1. 3.1. Fit fastening screw -2-  by hand and screw in as far as it will go.
    2. 3.2. Fit fastening screws -1-  by hand and screw in as far as they will go.
    3. 3.3. Fit fastening screws -4-  by hand and screw in as far as they will go.
    4. 3.4. Tighten fastening screw -2-  .

    5. 3.5. Tighten fastening screws -1-  .
    6. 3.6. Tighten fastening screws -4-  .

    Engine mount 

  4. Secure electric wire harness.
    1. 4.1. Connect electric plug connection -arrow-  and engage it in the holder.
