Completing Reconditioned Engine
NOTE:
Tightening torques, tightening sequence and assembly overviews for the engine and transmission:
- Group 1: → 1X00IN TECHNICAL VALUES
- Group 2: → 2X00IN TECHNICAL VALUES
- Group 3: → 3X00IN TECHNICAL VALUES
NOTE:
- Replace O-rings.
- Grease O-rings with a light coating of Kluber Syntheso Glep (Part No.: 000.043.204.68).
- Convert engine mount supports.
- 1.1. Unscrew screws -arrows- and remove supports -1- and -2- .
- 1.2. Tightening torque: Tightening torque 40 Nm (30 ftlb.)
Support for engine mount
- Convert engine wire harness. → 975219 REMOVING AND INSTALLING WIRE HARNESS FOR ENGINE
- Convert the generator. → 272219 REMOVING AND INSTALLING GENERATOR
- Remove turbocharger on new engine. → 213019 REMOVING AND INSTALLING TURBOCHARGER
- Remove and convert the starter. → 276019 REMOVING AND INSTALLING STARTER
- 5.1. Disconnect electric lines.
- Install turbocharger from the new engine again. → 213019 REMOVING AND INSTALLING TURBOCHARGERNOTE:
- Replace O-rings on the cooling system.
- Clean plug connection and coolant hoses before assembly.
- Coat O-rings and coolant hoses with Kluber Plus Gel (Part No. 000.043.205.93).
- Remove stoppers before fitting the coolant lines and hoses.
- Convert coolant hose heater.
- 7.1. Loosen retaining clip -arrow- and pull off coolant line -1- .

Information
NOTE:- Replace O-rings on the cooling system.
- Clean plug connection and coolant hoses before assembly.
- Coat O-rings and coolant hoses with Kluber Plus Gel (Part No. 000.043.205.93).
- Remove stoppers before fitting the coolant lines and hoses.
- Disconnect and convert coolant lines on the coolant pump.
- 8.1. Lift up retaining clips -arrows- and pull off coolant lines.
- 8.2. Loosen clamp -1- and pull off coolant line.
