Securing Engine On Assembly Support
CAUTION:
Heavy components
- Risk of squashing
→ Wear personal protective gear.
→ Get someone to help if necessary.
WARNING:
Danger of objects or loads falling down
- Risk of squashing or crushing
→ Secure components to prevent them from falling down.
NOTE:
- The engine needs to be suspended on an assembly support for certain repair work.
- Secure engine support to the engine - engine support 9676/1.
To do this, use the four screws mounting parts 9590 and tighten them. → Engine support
Bend the heat protection panel on the front-axle final drive on the turbo engine aside slightly if necessary (collision).
Engine support
- Move engine in front of the engine support (assembly support) using the workshop crane and guide it in with the help of a second worker. Lift the engine so that it can be eased in horizontally. → Engine crane and engine on assembly support
