Securing Engine On Assembly Support
CAUTION:
Heavy components
- Risk of squashing
→ Wear personal protective gear.
→ Get someone to help if necessary.
WARNING:
Danger of objects or loads falling down
- Risk of squashing or crushing
→ Secure components to prevent them from falling down.
NOTE:
- The engine needs to be suspended on an assembly support for certain repair work.
- Lifting tackle 2024 A
must be engaged at the engine and at the workshop crane WE 1188
.
- 1.1. Arrange perforated rails and support hooks as shown.
2024 A Lifting tackle
- Secure the engine at the transmission side on the engine and gearbox support WE 1323
.
- 2.1. Secure sleeve -1- using a nut and washer -arrow- .
- 2.2. Secure sleeves -2-4- on the crankcase.
- 2.3. Secure sleeve -5- at the oil guide housing (upper part of oil pan) -6- .
- 2.4. Secure sleeves on the universal mount with the screws.
- 2.5. Fit engine using workshop crane WE 1188 on engine and gearbox support WE 1323 and secure it.
