Installing front-axle support
NOTE:
Risk of damage to chassis components
- If the front-axle carrier, steering gear or front-axle support is not fitted correctly, never lower the vehicle onto its wheels!
- Supporting the vehicle on the front-axle carrier or on the front-axle support (e.g. using a jack) is not permitted!
- If the vehicle needs to be moved, the front-axle support must be installed using the old bolts and square nuts and must then be tightened to the specified torque without additional torque angle .
- Replace square nuts -Arrows-
in the cast recesses.

- Fit front-axle support.
Mounting for front-axle support
- 2.1. Tighten fastening screws -Arrows-
. (Replace fastening screws!)
Front-axle support to front-axle carrier:
Step 1 Initial tightening 90 Nm (67 ftlb.)
Step 2 Final tightening +90°
Front-axle support to front-axle carrier, middle and rear:
Step 1 Initial tightening 90 Nm (67 ftlb.)
Step 2 Final tightening +135°
- 2.2. Clip in electric line at the marked positions -1 and 2- .
- 2.1. Tighten fastening screws -Arrows-
. (Replace fastening screws!)
