Removing front drive shaft

  1. If used: Remove heat shield -1-  over the drive shaft.

    Heat shield over drive shaft (component can differ from illustration) 

    1. 1.1. Unscrew fastening screws -2-  .
  2. Unscrew fastening screws for the drive shaft on the transmission.

    Drive shaft mounting on transmission side 

  3. Turn wheel bearing housing in until the drive shaft can be pulled out of the wheel bearing housing.
  4. Remove drive shaft.
