Disconnecting The Battery

Switch off all loads and remove the ignition key.

Do not disconnect the battery while the engine is running.
Disconnect and re-connect battery with extreme caution.

Information

The battery is located under the driver's seat.

Detach and fold over carpet in front of the driver's seat.

Screw off ground strap at the ground point in front of the driver's seat:
Risk of short circuit! Screw off the ground strap -2- at the ground point -1- under the driver's seat in front of the battery box.

Ground point
Route or isolate the ground strap -2- so that all contact with a ground carrier (e.g. body, battery terminal) is avoided.
