Installing Lock Carrier

Place lock carrier over the air guide and position it.
Press the actuating cable -5- for the lid lock at the bottom front forward through the lock carrier.

Connect electric plug connections.
1. 3.1. Plug in electric plug connections -6- for the wire harness on the left side and lock them until they engage securely.

2. 3.2. Plug in electric plug connections (for additional equipment) -7- on the left side and lock them until they engage securely.
3. 3.3. Clip electric plug connections (for additional equipment) -7- into the bracket.
4. 3.4. Plug in electric plug connections -8- on the right side and lock them until they engage securely.

5. 3.5. Clip temperature sensor into the air guide.
Secure lock carrier.
1. 4.1. Screw in fastening screws -2- , -3- and -4- .

2. 4.2. Tighten fastening screws -2- for the bumper to → Tightening torque: 12 Nm (9 ftlb.)+/-1 Nm (+/-0.5 ftlb.) .
3. 4.3. Tighten fastening screw -3- for the radiator to → Tightening torque: 5 Nm (3.5 ftlb.)+/-0.5 Nm (+/-0.5 ftlb.) .
4. 4.4. Tighten fastening screw -4- for the body to → Tightening torque: 8 Nm (6 ftlb.)+/-0.5 Nm (+/-0.5 ftlb.) .
Insert lock support and tighten fastening screw -1- to → Tightening torque: 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.)+/-1 Nm (+/-0.5 ftlb.) .

Insert air intake pipe (two on the V8) and sound absorber into the air cleaner housing through the lock carrier.
To facilitate fitting, first fit the air intake pipe into the air cleaner housing by turning it and then insert the sound absorber.

Check that they are seated securely on the air cleaner housing.
