Removing Vibration Damper (Crankshaft Pulley)

1. > 9679/1 - Arm bracket  must be inserted into the vibration damper and turned until it locks. > Arm bracket in vibration damper

   NOTIFICATION 

   Incorrect handling of tools 

   • Risk of damage to the body 
     • Only use tools approved by Porsche.
     • Always ensure that the tool is seated correctly.
     • Protect the body and interior of the vehicle from damage with protective covers.
     • Cover delicate components with cardboard or sheetmetal panels.

   Information 

   Protect the radiator fins using cardboard or a sheetmetal panel to prevent damage.

   Cover wing and peripheral parts to protect them.

2. Fit large torque wrench > Large torque wrench on the central screw or  T-piece -2-  (large socket, width across flats 27) and loosen central screw for balancer. Do not use the screw again. Use a tubular handle -I-  , if necessary. Loosening torque is very high.

3. Remove central screw and pull vibration damper down and forward. > Vibration damper
