Removing Heating/Fresh Air Unit

Information 

Close off the heat exchanger connection using suitable stoppers after disconnecting the coolant hoses.

1. Remove heat exchanger supply hose -2-  .
   1. 1.1 Loosen spring band clamp -1-  using > VAS 6890 - Spring Band Clamp Pliers  .
   2. 1.2 Pull off hose -2-  .

2. Remove heat exchanger return hose -2-  .
   1. 2.1 Loosen spring band clamp -1-  using > VAS 6890 - Spring Band Clamp Pliers  .
   2. 2.2 Pull off hose -2-  .

3. Disconnect refrigerant lines at the expansion valve.

   > 877019 REMOVING AND INSTALLING EXPANSION VALVE

4. Press carpet aside and pull connections for condensed water drain tubes -1-  at the left and right out of the body tunnel.

5. Unclip electric wire harness from holder -2-  and set it aside.

6. Release and disconnect electric plug connection -3-  on the fan motor -4-  .

7. Only for Panamera 4S Diesel without auxiliary heater: 

   Unscrew nuts on electric lines for electric interior heater.

8. Only for Panamera 4S Diesel without auxiliary heater: 

   Remove electric lines on the electric interior heater and set them aside.

9. Pull connection pieces on the heating/fresh-air unit gently out of the rubber sleeves -1-  on the firewall cover towards the passenger compartment.

10. Remove heating/fresh-air unit by pulling it towards the passenger compartment.
